By accessing or using the Star By Faces website at starbyfaces.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Star By Faces provides an AI-powered celebrity look alike tool that allows users to upload a photo and receive results showing which celebrities their face most closely resembles. The Service is provided free of charge and is intended purely for entertainment purposes.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use this Service. If you are under the required age, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements above.

4. User Conduct

When using Star By Faces, you agree not to:

  • Upload photos of other people without their explicit consent.
  • Upload images containing nudity, graphic violence, hate symbols, or any illegal content.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access our systems in unauthorized ways.
  • Use automated bots or scripts to submit bulk requests to the Service.
  • Misrepresent results or use them to deceive others about a person's identity.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

5. Uploaded Content

By uploading an image to Star By Faces, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the image or have the right to use and submit it.
  • The image does not violate the privacy, publicity, copyright, or other rights of any third party.
  • The image does not contain illegal content.

You retain ownership of any images you upload. By uploading, you grant Star By Faces a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process the image solely for the purpose of generating celebrity match results. This license terminates when the processing is complete. We do not claim ownership over your uploaded photos.

6. Intellectual Property

The Star By Faces name, logo, website design, code, content, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Star By Faces and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or intellectual property without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • Celebrity match results are accurate, complete, or reliable.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • Results are suitable for any purpose other than personal entertainment.

Celebrity match results are generated by AI and are for entertainment purposes only. They should not be taken as factual statements about resemblance.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STAR BY FACES AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 (ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS).

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on third-party APIs and services including RapidAPI and Google services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.

10. Advertising

Star By Faces may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. We do not endorse any products or services advertised through our platform. You interact with advertisements at your own risk.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then through appropriate legal channels.
